The Law Center of Advocates (CDA) took part in the 2026 Human Rights Caravan, held in Hâncești and Comrat, alongside partner organizations, public authorities, and members of local communities. The event provided a platform for dialogue and information-sharing on human rights, promoting solidarity, inclusion, and mutual respect.
At the CDA stand, the organization’s team informed visitors about its activities, available services, and the rights of refugees, answering participants’ questions and discussing the challenges refugees face during the integration process. During the Caravan, CDA was represented in Hâncești by Viorica Chirnicinii and Mohammad Abu Bacar, and in Comrat by Arina Roșca.
An important part of CDA’s participation was the interactive activities designed to encourage reflection on the experiences of people who have been forced to flee their homes because of war or
persecution. Through practical exercises and open discussions, participants were encouraged to look beyond stereotypes and gain a better understanding of the challenges refugees face, fostering empathy and strengthening dialogue within the community.
The strong interest shown by visitors in the CDA stand confirmed the importance of such awareness-raising and information initiatives. The many questions asked, the active participation in the proposed activities, and the open dialogue with our team demonstrated that promoting human rights and an inclusive society remains a priority for local communities.
The 2026 Human Rights Caravan was organized by the Office of the People’s Advocate in partnership with UNHCR Moldova, the Council of Europe, the National Trade Union Confederation of Moldova, the Danish Trade Union Development Agency (DTDA), UNICEF Moldova, and the UN Human Rights Office in Moldova.
CdA has supported this initiative since its launch by the Office of the People’s Advocate and has participated in every edition of the Human Rights Caravan organized to date.
