150 police officers, prosecutors and judges from 21 districts will participate in the training course, developed and organized by CDA, in the framework of the project “Strengthening access to justice by empowering refugees in Moldova with legal knowledge”, implemented by UNDP Moldova, with the financial support of Sweden.
Training course “Principles of non-discrimination and tolerance in the context of the refugee crisis in Ukraine: Applying them in professional work” aims to strengthen the capacities of the justice system and law enforcement officials in protecting the rights of refugees and displaced persons, including in relation to non-discrimination bias and practices.
From 21 March to 25 April 2023, CDA will conduct seven training sessions. The topics to be covered include the rights and obligations of asylum seekers, refugees and persons under international protection; stereotypes and prejudices, causes of discrimination, discrimination and its forms; issues of misdemeanours and offences motivated by prejudice; European standards in offences motivated by prejudice, good practices; right to state and police protection, judicial practice.
