“Always next to people in need” is the title of the article recently published by the newspaper “Moldova Suverană”, which reflects the work of the CDA legal advisor in the Strășeni district, Daniela Hedea.
Since March 2022, she has been fully involved in various actions to help displaced persons from Ukraine, by providing legal and informational assistance, but also by getting involved in solving some of the problems they face: obtaining financial and humanitarian aid, employment, documentation, enrolment in pre-school institutions.
Daniela Hedea is much awaited at the refugee accommodation centers in the villages of Greblești, Cojușna, Tătărești, as well as in families hosting displaced persons from Ukraine. To assist the beneficiaries with hearing disabilities, our colleague has called on the services of a sign language interpreter.
In another article, published in the newspaper “Our Echo”, the work of another CDA legal advisor – Sergiu Lazari, who helps displaced people from Ukraine settled in the Telenesti district, is mentioned.
Asked to appreciate the work of our colleague, a refugee from Odessa revealed Sergiu Lazari’s competence, fairness, and the attention with which he treats beneficiaries.
Both publications mentioned the partnerships established by CDA with the local public authorities – Strășeni District Council and Telenești District Council – to ensure respect for the rights of refugees, beneficiaries of international protection, applicants for statelessness and stateless persons.
