The village of Gura Bîcului, Anenii Noi was another destination of CDA lawyers for meetings with beneficiaries under the CDA-Oxfam Project. The event brought together refugee women with their children from Ukraine as well as from this locality.
CDA legal advisor Denis Potereanu, project coordinator Victoria Tepordei discussed with the participants about the rights and obligations of refugees, provided details about the placement of children in kindergartens, schools, access to social services, employment opportunities, social integration.
On 19 October, the Youth Centre in Orhei city hosted an information session for refugees settled in this locality. The event was attended by refugee women with their children, young people from Ukraine and residents of Orhei.
CDA legal advisors Aurelia Bagrin, Ștefan Burlaca, Natalia Marfescu, Valentin Botnari, project coordinator Victoria Țepordei discussed with the participants the rights and obligations of refugees, answered questions related to their integration in the local community, access of children to kindergartens and schools, employment opportunities, reliable sources of information.
Diana Strechii, Mariana Gîrbu, Victoria Țepordei, Aurelia Bagrin and Rodica Palade worked with beneficiaries in Balti on 20 October.
At the meeting, were discussed the current problems and needs of refugees, the latest changes in the regulations concerning their stay in the Republic of Moldova, participants found out about reliable sources of information on refugee status and possibilities of obtaining assistance.
On 21 October, CDA legal advisors Aurelia Bagrin and Mihai Gangan held an information session for refugees hosted in Ungheni.
Among the topics discussed were, in particular, access to social services – kindergartens, schools, medical institutions; employment opportunities for refugees, their integration with equal rights in the community where they live.
