Playgrounds for children were inaugurated on 28 July 2023 in the city of Anenii Noi and on 31 August this year at the Multifunctional Community Centre “Together”, Rublenița village, Soroca district.
The playground in the town of Aneni Noi is located in the immediate vicinity of a refugee placement centre and will be open to Ukrainian children as well as to other local children and their parents.
The second playground, set up at the Multipurpose Community Centre “Together”, Rublenița, was the first placement centre for Ukrainian refugees coming to Soroca. The centre houses children without parental care, including those with disabilities.
The time spent at the playgrounds will provide opportunities for closer communication, intercultural dialogue, establishing friendships between displaced children from Ukraine and those from Moldova.
The actions financially supported by the humanitarian organization Oxfam aimed to promote social cohesion between refugees and the inhabitants of the host communities and the integration of refugees into local communities.
In the period April-August 2023 alone, 18 social cohesion activities have been implemented within the CDA-Oxfam project.
Beneficiaries were given the opportunity to visit enterprises in the localities of the Republic of Moldova, such as the toy factory in Ungheni “Bubulino”, the bakery factory in Cahul “Cahulpan”, creative workshops and performances, exhibitions, entertainment activities, events, attended by representatives of the host communities.
