The Strategic Development Plan for the 2025-2027 period aims to strengthen CDA’s role as a defender of human rights, particularly for foreign citizens, refugees, stateless persons, and those at risk of becoming stateless. This is based on the principles of an effective, impartial, and fair justice system.
Additionally, CDA is committed to continuing its support for professionals involved in resolving these cases, as well as for partner NGOs, to contribute to the improvement of the legal framework in the field of asylum, statelessness, foreigners, naturalization or related.
CDA has outlined four main areas of action for the next three years:
- Legal assistance – providing legal support to beneficiaries.
- Legal empowerment – training specialists who work with these individuals.
- Advocacy, monitoring, and analysis – promoting legal improvements and overseeing their implementation.
- Development – institutional development of CDA and strengthening the capacities of NGOs involved in the targeted field.
CDA will offer primary legal assistance to all those seeking help, as well as specialized legal assistance to a smaller number of individuals, including representation in court or before authorities.
Additionally, CDA will organize training sessions for authorities, lawyers, judges, police officers, social workers, and other professionals who interact with individuals at risk. Partner NGOs will benefit from dedicated programs aimed at enhancing their operational capacity.
Furthermore, CDA will work towards improving legislation on asylum, statelessness, foreign nationals, and naturalization, collaborating with other organizations when necessary.
