A new meeting between members of the local community and refugees from Ukraine took place in Ştefan Vodă, with the contribution of CDA legal advisors Vasile Norosian and Diana Covalenco Norosian.
About 30 people – Moldovan and Ukrainian citizens discussed how to better organize their life in the community. Ukrainians temporarily settled in our country because of the war received more useful information about the possibilities to involve children in extracurricular activities, socio-cultural activities in which they can participate.
Some residents of Ștefan Vodă offered them suggestions on the topic. The round of consultations was followed by an exchange of experience and information on children’s education, other topics. Some refugees needed and received legal advice, including privately. Vasile Norosian enjoyed the trust of the male participants, and Olesea Durguz was highly requested for legal advice on border crossing by some mothers with children.
At the same time people hosting refugees needed clarifications regarding the legal term of their stay, other aspects, implicitly social.
Finally, it was agreed that such meetings would be held weekly. Administration of the library in Ștefan Vodă announced its willingness to host the events.
The efforts of CDA lawyers were appreciated by the local public authorities. The Ștefan Vodă General Directorate of Social Assistance and Family Protection awarded the CDA team a diploma “in gratitude for collaboration and support in strengthening the social assistance system and family protection”.
