The Executive Director of CDA participated in the Human Rights Forum, organized by the People’s Advocate Office in partnership with the Office of the Council of Europe in Chisinau, OHCHR, UNHCR Moldova.
In the speech delivered during the session “Respecting the rights of refugees and ensuring their socio-economic inclusion in the Republic of Moldova”, Oleg Palii mentioned the fundamental and complex nature of the right to asylum and its link to other human rights.
Oleg Palii also highlighted the importance of providing developed services for refugees and asylum seekers and expressed his hope that displaced persons from Ukraine will soon be able to benefit from temporary protection which will help them to fully integrate into society.
Executive Director of CDA encouraged the authorities to amend the legal framework so that all children born on the territory of our country can acquire Moldovan citizenship by birth.
