The team of CDA came third in the mini-football competition for peace and in support of refugees from Ukraine, which it organized in cooperation with the Anenii Noi City Hall
The tournament “Football unites us” took place at the mini-football stadium of the “A.S.Pushkin” Theoretical Lyceum in Anenii Noi, with matches between the teams of Law Centre of Advocates (CDA), the Refugee Charity Centre (RCC), which included refugees, the Congress of Local Authorities (CALM), FC Anina and FC Ruseni from Anenii Noi district.
At the beginning of the event, all those present held a minute of silence in memory of the first President of the Republic of Moldova, Mircea Snegur.
The team of the Charity Centre for Refugees (CCR) won the competition and FC Ruseni came second. CDA team won the bronze medal, while FC Anina and CALM took fourth and fifth places.
Most of the teams participating in the event represent organisations and institutions that are engaged in activities supporting displaced persons from Ukraine in various ways, providing them with legal assistance and advice. In this way, the event reaffirmed the commitment to show solidarity with Ukrainian citizens who have fled the war, to support them and help them integrate into the local community.
Attending the competition, CDA Executive Director Oleg Palii noted the significance of the event in promoting the message of peace and supporting the inclusion of displaced persons from Ukraine in society. Oleg Palii also emphasized the good cooperation between the CDA and the Anenii Noi City Hall, with which the association has previously organized other events, such as the setting up of a playground for children.
CDA thanks the Anenii Noi City Hall for cooperation and the administration of the “A.S.Pushkin” Theoretical Lyceum in Anenii Noi for hosting the event.
