At the initiative and with the effort of CDA lawyers, they have been pre-registered or registered for temporary protection.
25 unaccompanied children from Ukraine are in the care of relatives in the district of Causeni, who have taken custody of the minors. However, the relatives of minors could not apply for temporary protection with this form of protection, which is why children remained unintegrated in the medical, social, financial and educational system of the Republic of Moldova.
The CDA lawyers identified the solution – appointing legal representatives for the children. Diana Covalenco and Vasile Norosian worked with the Directorate of Social Assistance and Family Protection of Causeni to this end.
Support was also needed to ensure the transportation of children domiciled in different localities of the district to the Hagimus Territorial Office, support provided by CDA partners from Acted.
The activity of more than two weeks included the identification of children, the appointment of legal representatives with the help of DASPF Căușeni, the preparation of the necessary documents, logistical arrangements for the children to travel to the Hagimus Territorial Office and their transportation to their homes.
Diana and Vasile Norosian are currently in dialogue with the representatives of the Social Assistance Directorate Stefan Voda to launch this process in this district.
