Francesca Bonelli, UNHCR’s Country Representative, and Oleg Palii, the Executive Director of CDA, signed on 18 January 2023, the 25th cooperation agreement between UNHCR Moldova and Law Centre of Advocates.
UNHCR Moldova and CDA will develop cooperation in providing legal support and protection to refugees, asylum seekers, stateless persons, displaced and undocumented persons.
The 25 years’ experience of cooperation between UNHCR Moldova and CDA has shown that the Law Centre of Advocates is a reliable and credible partner of the UN Refugee Agency in the Republic of Moldova, said Francesca Bonelli. We continue to count on the support of the CDA team in the implementation of the UNHCR mandate in Moldova, the UN official added.
CDA Director Oleg Palii thanked for the constant support and trust, underlining that the strengthening of the CDA team and the increased performance and efficiency of the association is largely due to the partnership with UNHCR Moldova. Oleg Palii reconfirmed the commitment of the organization’s members to intensify their efforts to face the latest challenges and to continue to be a key actor in the Republic of Moldova in the field of migration, asylum, statelessness, and integration of foreigners from a human rights perspective.
CDA has been a partner of the UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR) since 1998, and is the only legal NGO in the Republic of Moldova with comprehensive and exclusive expertise in the field of asylum and statelessness.
