CDA will be closer to the beneficiaries

In a project recently signed with Oxfam, the Law Center will set up legal aid offices for refugees in Ukraine in ten locations in the country: Causeni, Stefan-Voda, Basarabeasca, Cahul, Ungheni, Balti, Soroca, Comrat, Orhei , Anenii Noi. In this way, Oxfam supports the expansion of the CDA’s legal aid activities to reach refugees in host communities outside Chisinau.

In addition to the individual legal advice and legal representation that refugees most frequently need, on a weekly basis, based on information received from local government social services, CDA representatives will visit the most vulnerable refugees and provide them with the support they need.

The project also involves capacity building activities for local authorities on refugee rights and obligations, national asylum procedures, and the integration of refugees into the host community. For this purpose, trainings, information activities for social workers, employees of local employment offices, mayors, teachers will be organized.

CDA will support important local projects, will contribute to the organization of various events with the participation of members of the host community and refugees, implicitly to promote socio-economic empowerment and their integration.
